Pre Challenge Assessment 1

So I've now looked inside my cupboard and realised that I have enough pasta to last me a while, a bit of rice and a few cans of baked beans and kidney beans.

We are going by the rule where you can use the stuff already inside your cupboards and fridge.
This challenge isn't to make you starve and harm yourself, it's just to raise awareness to your expenditure and to understand that there ARE people out there living on less than £10 a week.

It turns out that my lovely girlfriend is also joining me, which brings our total up to £20 a week between the two of us. Which in my opinion makes this slightly easier as we can bulk buy and cook.

Also, I come home today and find this in the kitchen,

The girlfriend put an egg in the microwave for too long and it exploded... So that's 11 pence wasted lol!

Well, I reckon that while £10 is a little too less than I can manage, I am looking at ways recently to spend less. The obvious ways are no tale aways and more eating at home, do I really need that bottle of wine, can I get by without French bead and just buy regular slices bread?

A lot of things we do can be scaled back. And I'm already starting to see the difference and how I can start saving money.
